What We Do
Each day, Monday through Friday, our cooks prepare a fresh, hot lunch in our kitchen, and our volunteer drivers take these to our clients. Generally our clients are older than 60 (the average age is 82), but we serve persons under that age if disabilities create a need for our service.
No one is restricted from our service due to financial status. We charge $4 per meal. All food is prepared without salt and diabetic needs are accommodated.
TLC Meals on Wheels has no waiting list. Upon your request to participate in our program, we normally begin delivery the following Monday. Our friendly volunteer drivers will begin bringing nutritious meals to your home at lunch time, Monday through Friday for only $20 per week.
Where We Deliver
TLC Meals on Wheels delivers to homes in Centennial, Littleton, Englewood, Sheridan, western Centennial, west Arapahoe County, and southeast Jefferson County.
With the support of the Meals on Wheels program, older adults often remain independent in their homes for many years. Other clients have only short-term needs for meal delivery. We serve everyone who truly needs meals.
Our clients receive wrapped presents on each of the 12 weekdays leading up to Christmas. Those with pets receive bags of dog or cat food as well as kitty litter during the winter season. We also supplement our meal deliveries with groceries to stock our clients’ pantries for weekends or emergencies.
