Volunteer Opportunities

Route Drivers

The “WHEELS” of our organization are the dedicated volunteer drivers who deliver the meals using their own vehicles. They provide not only food, but a visit from a friend. Route drivers deliver meals on a regular schedule, usually weekly. Opportunities for groups and organizations are available.

Substitute Drivers

Substitute drivers deliver meals when the route driver is unavailable.

Grocery Delivery Program

Mostly on the 2nd Saturday of each month, we deliver bags of donated groceries to supplement our weekday meals. Students and families enjoy taking part.

12 Days of Christmas

Imagine the 3600 wrapped presents we deliver to our clients on the twelve weekdays prior to Christmas. Where do they come from? Who donates them? Who wraps them? Volunteers! It may be your best way to reach out to our clients.

Transporting Donated Products

Volunteers load donated groceries or pet food and deliver them to the Ames Building. This opportunity is usually available during November and December.
