Diane McClymonds was appointed Executive Director in February 2013 upon the previous director’s retirement. She has a long history of involvement with TLC Meals on Wheels, including Director of Operations for two years prior to her current position and board member from 2004 – 2010. During her six year term as a board member, she served as board president and volunteered as a driver and event coordinator. Diane has a BBA and previously served as a Project Manager for Citibank Diners Club. She enjoys cooking, baking, hiking in the mountains, puzzles and word games.
Dana Gaston joined our staff as Director of Operations in October 2014. She volunteered in a variety of roles at TLC Meals on Wheels prior to her employment, including working in the kitchen and helping to implement new client management software. In addition to her extensive volunteer experience, Dana previously served as a project Manager for Citibank. She finds working here rewarding and meaningful and particularly enjoys interacting with our volunteers. In her spare time she likes to read and attend concerts that feature feature classic rock and roll music from the 70’s and 80’s.
Anne Gross, Community Engagement Specialist, joined our staff in November 2015. She brings a variety of skills and experience in working with seniors and disabled individuals, including her previous position as Director of Community Relations at a nursing home. She is an accomplished author whose book on disability garnered five national independent book awards. It’s knowing that her work has an immediate impact on others that she loves most about working here. In the summer she loves to hike, in the winter she can be found curled up on her couch reading with her dog Doodle by her side.

Amy Hermsen has been our Program Coordinator since 2011. Prior to that she served as an office volunteer for a year. She manages all aspects of our office and can often be found on the phone talking to a client, answering a volunteer’s concern, or conducting an intake. It’s getting to know our clients and volunteers that she loves the most about her job. Outside of work she looks forward to her bimonthly meetings of her dinner club, which has been frequenting different restaurants together for the last 17 years.
Steve Ziegler joined our staff in January 2016 as lead cook. He has a deep passion for cooking for undeserved members of our community, having spent 3 years preparing meals at a downtown soup kitchen. He is a whiz at uncovering ways to make our kitchen more efficient and cost effective, and is known for his flavorful and balanced meals, It’s cooking for people in need who appreciate our services that he loves most about his job. In his spare time, he is pursuing a master’s degree in social work from MSU Denver.
Debbie Peters, Assistant Kitchen Manager, has worked in the kitchen since 2005. With no prior experience in the food industry, Debbie started out as a general helper, taking every opportunity to learn how to cook large quantities and manage all aspects of the kitchen as she rose to her current position. She loves working side by side with the kitchen volunteers and can’t imagine how we could manage without them. When she’s not busy in our kitchen, Debbie can be found working in her garden or hanging out with her tow granddaughters, Kaley and Riely.
Sarah Davis has served as our Meal Delivery Coordinator since March, 2016. She comes to use with a long history of volunteer community service helping feed those in need. As a child, she delivered meals with her mother for the Salvation Army, and in college she helped cook and serve lunch at the Denver Rescue Mission. She finds her work at TLC Meals on Wheels fulfilling knowing that it benefits others. Raised on a dairy farm in northern California, she loves to cook and share her expertise with her 6 year old son, James.
Leonard Robertson joined our staff in October, 2014 as a dishwasher and all around go to person for helping out in the kitchen. He loves getting to know the volunteers – who feel like family to him – as well as all the tips he’s learned about cooking. He spends his time outside of work taking his dog Spartan – an Airedale terrier/lab mix – to the dog park, hanging with his friends, and playing video games.
